Garamuts go down by 79 runs to Singapore

first_imgThe home side batted first and set a target of 150 runs after being bowled out after 46.1 overs.Singapore’s Brigu Iyer top scored for his team with 40 which came off 5 fours and 2 sixes.It was Jack Dairi who was the best of the Garamuts bowlers, snaring 3/10 off his 9 overs. Four of his 9 overs were maidens.Garamuts openers Vagi Guba and Harry Christopher Gavera got the run chase off to a slow start with an opening partnership of 17 runs.The Garamuts struggled to put together solid partnerships and at one stage were 5/26 after 16.6 overs.The damage was done as the Garmuts crumbled under pressure losing the last 5 wickets for 45 runs. The Garamuts were all bowled out for 71 runs after 28 overs.Sere Sam was the top scorer with 14 runs.Singapore’s Mohammad Ameen Bhadelia was the outstanding bowler, taking 3/14 off his 2 overs.The Garamuts play Singapore again today in the second practice match.last_img
